This 2,000 person, international consulting team had no standard tool for managing ongoing project governance or resource management. A PSA solution on Force.com was implemented to bring policy and process to consulting operations and to create a global standardized tool for these functions. Significant integration and migration between Salesforce and SAP was required, including the migration of nearly 12,000 projects and 400,000 timecards. Compared to an on-premise deployment, their cloud deployment was lower cost, faster time to value, better met their business objectives, and delivered a more innovative solution, according to their operations manager.
