Business Impact of Chatter

In a recent survey of Appirio customers by TechValidate, we asked our customers to assess the impact of Salesforce Chatter on their business.  The #1 cited benefit was better informed employees, cited by 59% of respondents. These customers think that Chatter is a more effective way to distribute information to employees than email.  In fact, reducing email was the #2 benefit, cited by 57% of respondents.  Finding information faster (49%) and increasing transparency (41%) were also highly rated.

Some customers were able to translate this improvement in the effectiveness of employee collaboration into concrete business results.  40% of respondents reporting solving customer issues faster due to Chatter, and 25% reported an acceleration of sales cycles.
